Lansheng Biotech’s subsidiary planning upgrade of 1,000-ton clethodim technical, adjuvant production capacity

An environmental assessment application for an upgrading project covering clethodim technical and adjuvant production, as well as a pollution control facility, undertaken by China’s Hebei Lanrun Crop Protection Science & Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hebei Lansheng Biotech, was published on the local government website for public comment, on October 17. 

Hebei Lanrun Crop Protection Science & Technology is planning an investment of RMB51.3461 million in project, which includes:

（1）Upgrading the company’s annual 1,000-ton clethodim TC, 2,000-ton clethodim TK and 100-ton sethoxydim TC capacities, while production will remain unchanged.

（2）Phasing out its existing annual 2,000-ton metribuzin TC, 300-ton haloxyfop-methyl TC, 200-ton cyazofamid TC, 100-ton picoxystrobin TC and 100-ton flonicamid TC productions.

（3）Upgrading its annual 300-ton Isoxadifen-ehhyl capacity while production will remain unchanged.

（4）Upgrading its annual 500-ton spirotetramat technical capacity while production will unchanged. It will also utilize (2,5-dimethylphenyl) acetyl chloride, which is the raw material for spirotetramat.

（5）Upgrading its annual 500-ton clethodim 120g/L EC and annual 900-ton clethodim 240g/L EC capacities, while production will remain unchanged.

After the completion of all project components, the company’s product varieties of will be as follows:

（1) clethodim TC 

（2）clethodim TK 

（3）sethoxydim TC

（4） spirotetramat technical

（5）(2,5-dimethylphenyl) acetyl chloride 

（6）clethodim 120g/L and 240g/L EC.
