Bioactivator that induces resistance to pests and diseases launched

Ingal Agrotecnologia revealed exclusively to AgroPages on the global launch of Organic Bloom, a plant bioactivator that stimulates resistance against pests and diseases.

According to the manufacturer, it is a 100% organic technology, produced with its raw material: phytic acid (a form of organic phosphorus) extracted from defatted rice bran, and amino acids taken from a conventional soybean meal.

″Its antioxidant action helps in the assimilation of nutrients, fights the aging of the plant, helps in germination, increases the volume of roots, and contributes to the maintenance of microorganisms,″ explained Cristiane dos Reis, agronomist and Director of Research and Development ( R&D) at Ingal Agrotechnology.

The Organic Bloom biological input was developed in partnership with the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) and had the IBD seal of International Certification of an Organic Product. As it is a natural product derived from plant sources, it is fully compatible with other technologies. It adjusts to a wide pH range, being recommended to be added together with the syrup in applications with biological or chemical products.

Qualified Research

Product research started in 2004, in partnership with Professor Dr. Leila Picolli from UFSM, in Rio Grande do Sul. The university supported the development of technology, which was the subject of study in several dissertations and theses, as well as scientific materials published in national and international journals about the stages of development of the extraction of phytic acid from rice bran.

″We still have this partnership, we are the only company that carries the UFSM brand on the label, and that has a contract via the Ministry of Education (MEC) that guarantees this use,″ added Cristiane dos Reis. According to her, the consolidation of the product in the market was carried out with technology validation tests at several Brazilian research stations accredited to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA), with the support of a series of influential researchers in Brazilian agribusiness.

According to the R&D director at Ingal Agrotecnologia, one of the technology's differentials is precisely the continuity of ″qualified research, which is concerned with positioning the product to combine productivity and sustainability. The research started in 2004 and continues to the present day, and that is why we are still discovering the size of the potential of Organic Bloom, which has shown promise for various purposes in agriculture.″

Promising Results
 
The Organic Bloom bioactivator is already being applied in several Brazilian states, and showing promising results in Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Goiás, Pará and Tocantins. ″Several producers and large agricultural groups use the technology and help to disseminate the results and expand the areas of operation,″ Cristiane dos Reis pointed out.

According to her, the acceptance by the farmer has been excellent. ″The farmer has become a big admirer of the product due to such promising results,″ producer Flavio Faedo, from Rio Verde (GO) stated. ″They compare the technology to a revolution that is here to stay with the consolidation of the use of no-till.″

″Organic Bloom delivers unprecedented productivity, and preserves the farm, the environment and future generations. In addition, Organic Bloom takes care of the producer's greatest asset, the soil. The product, in about a year since it arrived in the Cerrado region, has consolidated and made the company and producers reach much improved productivity levels. The benefits quickly spread, largely due to the advertising by the producers themselves, who started to recommend the product to their friends, and relatives, among others,″ she recalled.

In addition to several Brazilian states, the product is already distributed in Paraguay, with steps in place to increase exports in several countries in Latin and North America. ″Our focus has been directly on the producer. We have a well-structured technical and commercial base that work together and support the producer throughout the crop cycle,″ she said in conclusion.
