Chinese Ministry of Agriculture approved two export-only registrations, being fipronil and paraquat

On June 8, 2020, the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued the Announcement No. 269, which specifies the procedure of registration of pesticide products for export only (referred to as “export-only pesticides”), which shall not be used in China.


On April 23, 2021, searching in the official database reveals that since the Announcement No. 269 was issued, China issued 2 registration certificates for export-only pesticides (the registration certificate number code is “EX + year + serial No.”).


One is the fipronil 50g/l SC of Jiangsu Tuoqiu Agricultural Chemical Co., Ltd, with registration number EX20200001, which was approved the first time on 2011-03-03, being valid till 2026-03-03. The product is allowed for export only to Pakistan and Thailand. The initial registration number was PD20110242, covering fipronil 5% (massive volume concentration, W/V).


The other is the paraquat 30.5% technical concentrate of Weifang Luba Chemical Co., Ltd, with registration No. EX20200002, which was approved the first time on 2011-03-17, being valid till 2026-03-17. The product is allowed for export only to Australia. The initial registration number was PD20110297, covering paraquat dichloride content 421g/kg.
