AgroPages-Benziothiazolinone granted registration for control of potato black shank for the first time-Agricultural news

As per China Pesticide Registration Watch, in January 2021, benziothiazolinone 12% WG filed by Shaanxi Xida Huate Technology Industry Co., Ltd was granted registration by ICAMA, to be used for control of potato black shank. This is the first time of the product being registered for control of potato black shank.

Previously, the dimethomorph.benziothiazolinone 80% WG of Jiangsu Huifeng Agrochemical was granted registration for control of potato late blight.

Potato black shank is a bacterial disease mainly infecting the stem or tuber, which may occur from the seedling stage to the late growth stage. As of January 20, 2021, there have been four pesticides being granted registration in China for control of potato black shank, including two registrations of kasugamycin 6% WP, one registration of Zn thiazolyl 20% SC and one registration of thiediazole copper 20% SC.
