Flagchem’s 15,500-ton project kicks off, covering spirotetramat, carfentrazone

On 6th January, 2021, Anhui Ningyitai Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Jiangsu Flag Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (Flagchem), held the opening ceremony of its annual 15,500-ton novel pesticide project, located in the Anhui (Huaibei) Coal-Based Chemical Synthetization Base.

The construction period of the project is expected to be six years, with phase 1 covering four products, which are 4-amino-3,5-dichloro-6-fluoro-2-pyridinyl) oxy) aceticacid (3,000 tons), lufenuron (3,000 tons), spirotetramat (1,000 tons) and flumioxazin (1,000 tons), for a cycle of 2.5 years. Phase 2 will cover six products, which are saflufenacil (1,000 tons), topramezone (500 tons), 精噁唑甘草胺(a self-developed compound) (1,500 tons), isoxaflutole (1,000 tons), clothianidin (500 tons) and carfentrazone (3,000 tons), for a cycle of 3.5 years.

The total investment in the project exceeds Yuan2 billion. After its completion and full operation, the project is expected to generate average annual sales of over Yuan2.8 billion. The project will not only contribute to Flagchem’s increased economic gains by providing a new source of profitability, but it will also optimize the company’s business deployment and expand its industrial structure, therefore, generating long-term growth.
