Tang Renjian appointed Chinese Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs by Standing Committee of National People's Congress

According to the Xinhua News Agency, during the 24th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress, Tang Renjian was voted, on 26th December, the Chinese Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
Previously, Tang was the Governor of the Gansu Provincial Government, while Han Changfu was the Minister of the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, who was 66 years of age and was born in October 1954.
Tang, who is male of Han nationality, was born in August 1962 and is a native of Chongqing, joined the CCP in March 1991 and began his career in August 1983. Tang graduated from the School of Economics at the Southwest University of Finance and Economics with a master's degree and a PhD in economics, as well as being a senior economist. After graduating, Tang was employed by the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, which was restructured as the Ministry of Agriculture in 1988, having worked in the agricultural sector for many years.
