AgroPages-BASF’s Century fungicide obtains exceptional emergency authorization in Portugal-Agricultural news

The General Directorate of Food and Veterinary (DGAV) granted an exceptional emergency authorization for 120 days to BASF’s fungicide, Century^®, for the control of stenfiliosis and alternariose on pear trees.

According to the authorization granted by DGAV, on the request of COTHN, treatment with Century^® should be carried out from the flowering to fruit maturation stage at a dose of 2L/ha (syrup volume 200 - 1000 L/ha).

Century^® is the first fungicide based on potassium phosphonate authorized as a plant protection product for pome fruits.
