In recent years, the rapid development of crop protection-oriented aerial application products has increased the potential use of pesticide adjuvants available in the market.

Many research institutions predict that in the next five years, China will become the fastest-growing pesticide adjuvant market, and its tank-mix adjuvant market will account for over half the total market.

Zhonghe Tiancheng Agricultural Development has cooperated with Kao Chemicals in developing and releasing several broad-spectrum tank-mix adjuvants, such as Quanrun and Youruopai, which are now contributing to China’s fertilizer and pesticide reduction and yield increase initiative.

In the first three quarters of 2019, Quanrun and Youruopai have been used on nearly 2 million hectares of agricultural land in China. Due to their effective fertilizer and pesticide reduction and yield increase effects, both products are well recognized by distributors and growers.

"These products are different from other adjuvant products because of their four main features, which are wettability, adhesion, penetration and fixation," said Cheng Kun (Marketing Director of Zhonghe Tiancheng).

Wettability: full wetting of plants, insects, hyphae and spores, effective even if used at high fold.

Adhesion: significantly increasing the adhesiveness of the adjuvant liquid and reducing the loss of the liquid through air flow, water pressure and other causes during application.

Penetration: mainly based on safe stomata penetration, which involves driving the liquid rapidly to penetrate into the plant stomata, which ensures faster action.

Fixation: significantly improving the adhesiveness of the liquid and enhancing resistance to wind, rain and other adverse environmental factors, ensuring stable action.

"However, due to the large variety of products currently available in the market, it may be confusing in some cases. You may need to check to ensure that the tank-mix adjuvant is used in the correct way. Not only should the adjuvant be used appropriately, pesticide application needs to be conducted correctly to achieve good results," Cheng Kun stressed.
