Summit Agro launches herbicide Brucia in Argentinaqrcode

Summit Agro, a subsidiary of the Japanese group, Sumitomo Corporation, launched Brucia (active ingredient: tolpyralate), a herbicide that attacks weeds affecting corn, which trouble producers and agronomists. 
 
In an interview with InfoNegocios, Marcos Mares, President of Summit Agro Argentina, said he has expectations of exceeding US$ 100 million in company’s turnover in 2019.
 
Producers, agronomists and specialists gathered in the convention center in central Rosario to hear the announcement of Summit Agro Argentina, the local branch of Sumitomo Corporation, which has 875 companies under its wing.

Summit Agro began its activities in the country in 2001. Today, it has 80 employees, and its team has grown by 30% due to the launch of new products.
 
The company’s six business units are:  
NOA/NEA
Córdoba (due to its size it is a single unit and 30% turnover)
Santa Fe/Litoral
Buenos Aires/La Pampa
Senior Administration
Intensive crops (horticultural and citrus)

The phytosanitary market is approximately made up of 70% herbicides and 30% insecticides and fungicides, explained the firm, stressing that Summit Agro's focus is on herbicides, its core business. 
 
The company generated an income of $80.5 million, which is expected to exceed $100 million in 2019, through its invest in research and development and its development of environmentally-friendly products. 
 
To reinforce its values and promote Brucia, the company invited Gustavo Giménez, who is the Director of the ASG Training Center, an academy for pilots, with the aim of demonstrating that, similar to an equivalent aviation company, Summit Agro is well organized and makes effective but safe products.
 
Brucia is a herbicide for controlling grasses and broadleaf weeds that is effective on a wide variety of weeds affecting corn.
