IHARA launches seed treatment product CERTEZA N for control of nematode in Brazil

IHARA has introduced CERTEZA N (350.0 g/L thiophanate-methyl + 52.5 g/L fluazinam) in Brazil, the first fungicidal seed treatment product capable of controlling nematodes. The solution is a pioneer among seed treatment fungicides registered for the control of nematode in soybeans and corn, and has the exclusive UHPS (Ultra High Performance Sticker) technology in its formulation, which provides a better adhesion to the seed, that is, protection from rain washing.

"CERTEZA N represents a greater convenience for the farmer during the management, since it offers a simultaneous control of the main diseases of soil and nematodes. Therefore, the product promotes an important reduction of operational costs, since the treatment of the seeds with CERTEZA N does not exempt the use of other pesticides", said Luis Fernando Andrade, manager of Fungicide Products.

The new launch of IHARA continues the modernization of the company's portfolio, which today offers about 60 solutions for the most varied cultures. Focused on research and development of new technologies for management, it has been striving to deliver solutions that are increasingly capable of responding to the main needs of the field, while increasing productivity.

"According to market data, nematodes today cause losses of up to R $ 16.2 billion per year to Brazilian soybean farmers. There are more than 100 species worldwide in soybean alone, four of them causing great concern in Brazil. That is why we have developed CERTEZA N, a solution that can help significantly reduce losses in the field," noted Andrade.
