AgroPages-China’s pesticide production upregulated in Nov with herbicide production continued to rise-Agricultural news

According to the National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS), in Nov 2018, China produced 200,989 tons of pesticide, up regulated 8.8% compared to the same period last year.

On a y-o-y basis, this month’s herbicide production continued to increase by 5.5% to 93,519 tons, accounting for the largest percentage of 46.53% of the total production. Production of insecticide dropped largely with 27.8% to 30,714 tons and the fungicide also dropped 18.7% to 12,343 tons, consisted of 15.28% and 6.14% of the total production respectively.
