EMD Crop BioScience Canada launches new optimize for soybeans

Canadian soybean growers will soon see the benefits of improved emergence, earlier nodulation and higher yields. Optimize from EMD Crop BioScience Canada is a premium soybean inoculant with EMDs patented LCO Promoter Technology that will enable growers to plant early without risking crop health.

The breakthrough performance of Optimize with LCO Promoter Technology is a unique, seed applied product that enhances natural growth processes -- enabling the soybean crop to achieve its full genetic potential. The LCO Promoter Technology is a naturally occurring molecule that enhances root and shoot development, nodulation and nitrogen fixation immediately and independently of the environment and soil conditions.

"We know that early planting is key to maximizing yield," says Michael Kereluik, Canadian sales manager for EMD Crop BioScience Canada. "Optimize has the potential to revolutionize soybean production by reducing the waiting period for nodule formation many growers face each spring due to cold soils."

Part of EMDs line-up of patented crop enhancement and inoculant products, Optimize has been used successfully to treat soybean seed in the U.S. since 2004. Optimize is the first in a series of LCO Promoter Technology products to be introduced to the Canadian market. Optimize Pulse IF for peas and lentils is currently in the final stages of registration review.
