For the first time on stage together, the new Bayer Crop Science Executive Leadership Team will share how the company plans to shape agriculture to address increasing global challenges at the Future of Farming Dialogue 2018 in Monheim, Germany, on September 18.

“As leaders in agriculture we have an obligation to shape the industry in a positive way for the benefit of farmers, consumers and the planet,” said Liam Condon, President of the Crop Science Division at Bayer. “Bringing together diverse voices and leading experts at the Future of Farming Dialogue is key to that mission and the first step to turning talk to action.”

In addition to Condon, other key members of Crop Science leadership will offer insight into the company’s vision for farming for today and beyond:

• Brett Begemann, Chief Operating Officer, will highlight trends in agriculture and how Bayer designs the best solutions collaboratively with farmers around the world.
• Bob Reiter, Head of Research and Development, will give attendees a look at how innovation, sustainability and digital transformation come together to address food insecurity and the world’s biggest challenges.
• Chief Information Officer James Swanson and Head of Digital Farming/Climate Corporation Michael Stern will lead a talk on Digital Disruption and how technology can be a boon to farmers globally. They will also share how digital tools can transform the decision-making process by helping farmers better interpret millions of pieces of data.
• Jesus Madrazo, Head of Agricultural Affairs and Sustainability and Frank Terhorst, Head of Crop Strategy and Portfolio Management, will share more about the critical importance of sustainability. In an interactive Q&A session, Madrazo and Terhorst will highlight how Bayer helps farms of all sizes operate more efficiently.

In addition to executive-led discussions, diverse agricultural voices will cover key topics transforming the agricultural industry including social innovation, next generation solutions and consumer trends.

Simon Pampena, a presenter on the Discovery Channel’s Outrageous Acts of Science, will moderate the panel discussions and Q&A sessions.
