Nippon Soda completes acquisition of Zoetis' plant health business![qrcode]()

JapanAs announced on 30th November 2017, Nippon Soda has been proceeding with the acquisition process of Zoetis Japan’s plant health business, now this acquisition was completed on September 14th, 2018.
This acquisition will expand the product portfolio of the Nippon Soda's agricultural chemicals business and create synergies effects with existing products. By promoting development and marketing in the company's resources, Nippon Soda expects to expand business over the medium term.
The company has launched its three-year medium-term management plan starting in fiscal 2017, and is making progress with efforts to build a strong business foundation. “Under the plan, we intend to aggressively promote M&A and business alliances to strengthen existing businesses and expand peripheral business, and as a part of these initiatives, the acquisition is expected to further enhance the corporate value of the Group,” said Nippon Soda.
The impact of this case on the Group's consolidated business results has been included in the earnings forecast, Nippon Soda will promptly disclose any items to be announced in the future.
