Currently, the company is exporting its innovative solutions to more than 20 countries.

On the other hand, AlgaEnergy is promoting its internationalization plans with the opening in Japan of its first subsidiary abroad Spain. With the creation of this subsidiary, materialized on the 1st of June, the biotechnology company wants to guarantee a strong structure from which it will be able to operate in the Asian markets.

The new company, named AlgaEnergy Japan Inc., has hired Mr. Toshio Matsushima as COO, an entrepreneur of recognized prestige in the Japanese market who will lead the challenge of consolidating the ambitious objectives of the company in the country, amongst them, making AgriAlgae® a reference brand in Japan. In fact, together with the collaboration of Ms. Mariko Kihira, and having invested over a year in the execution of trials and compliance with the requirements of FAMIC and the Ministry of Agriculture in Japan, the company has already registered its biostimulants in the country and is therefore already authorized to import and distribute AgriAlgae® products in Japan.

Matsushima has extensive experience in identifying, developing, and implementing strategies for global business expansion, with a particular focus on successful entry into the Japanese market, offering support and capability building at every stage of the strategy implementation.
