Promip, a company specializing in biological products for integrated plague management, announced that it would launch a new pesticide capable of controlling thrips. The Insidiomip will occur during the 25th edition of the Technical Exposition of Fruits and Vegetables, Protected Crops and Intensive Crops, in Holambra, São Paulo.

Thrips originated in the Americas and are very common in Brazil, having as major characteristics the capacity of reproduction and proliferation on a large scale. According to Promip, these bugs are considered natural enemies of fruits and can transmit some viruses to plants, opening the way for fungi and bacteria.

In this scenario, Promip is launching Insidiomip, which is considered an effective agent for the control of this type of plague. According to the company, several laboratory tests and research were done to prove its effectiveness. Besides, as a biological agent, the product is characterized for its sustainable nature, not harming the environment and guaranteeing safety for the producer.

Besides Insidiomip, Promip also announced the launch of another project, comprising an augmented reality application that features an action video of predators and parasitoids, sold by the company, on the cell phone screen and the video plays when the smartphone camera focuses on the logo of the brand.
