Punjab Chemicals gets registration of Metamitron Technical and 70 % SC in India

Fast Growing Indian Agrochemical Company, Punjab Chemicals recently received 9(3) registration of Metamitron from CIBRC for control of both broad leaf and grasses on sugar beet for Indian market. The company points out “In recent times area under sugar beet is growing due to short duration crop with less water requirements. This is perceived by company to have edge over other weedicides as today no effective exclusive herbicide is available in Indian market.

Punjab Chemicals will be the first Indian company intending to launch Metamitron 70 SC for control of weeds. As on today Punjab Chemicals is a leading exporter for more than two decades with approved source in most of the sugar beet growing countries” says Mr. Shalil Shroff, Managing Director of Punjab Chemicals & Crop Protection Limited.
