AgroPages-Yangnong Chemical Group to build annual 4,000-ton CCMP plant in Ningxia, China-Agricultural news

On the 28th November, Sinochem International announced a total investment of Yuan 2.8 billion to be made by its subsidiary, Yangnong Chemical Group, for the construction of a number of intermediate and technical pesticide material projects in Zhongwei, Ningxia, China.

The projects include the production of the annual 4,000-ton 2-chloro-5-methylpyridine, annual 4,000-ton 2-chloro-chloromethylpyridine, annual 2,000-ton imidacloprid, annual 5,000-ton TPC and annual 2,000-ton p-phenylenediamine.

The 2-chloro-chloromethylpyridine (CCMP) is the key intermediate of novel and high-efficient pesticides, including imidacloprid, acetamiprid and nitenpyram.
