After five years of research and tests, Adama has launched its new fungicide Cronnos (mancozeb + picoxystrobin + tebuconazole).
The product, which is a WG formulation, is the only one to have a triple combination of active ingredients, relying on a multi-site protector.
According to information made available by the company, this combination imparts complete protection for soybeans, once the action mechanisms act directly over the fungus and through different ways, making it harder for its entrance in the plant. Adama highlighted that the solution also brings time savings for the farmer, thanks to the formulation of high quality that brings high adherence to the leaves of soybeans and helps avoid clogging of the spray nozzles.
“This combination of the mode of action in Cronnos makes the farmer avoid creating undesired mixtures in a tank that, besides being irregular, results in time loss,” explained Leandro Garcia, product manager of the company. “Cronnos is creating a new era to combat Asian Rust and will certainly be an important partner for farmers in the fight against the disease.”
Considered one of the most destructive diseases in soybeans, Asian Rust is a great headache for Brazilian farmers. According to data from Embrapa’s Rust Consortium, during the 2016-2017 season, 415 occurrences of the fungus were registered, which could mean losses of up to 80% of the crop production and financial losses of US$ 2 billion for soybean growers.
With the arrival of this disease in 2001, the market has seen the necessity of creating products that help the farmer combat this devastating disease. The available solutions in the market have lost effectiveness year after year and, throughout time, were detected in the case of resistance in traditional products.
