Agrinos has announced a new strategic partnership with Algacell, a distributor of high-quality liquid and soluble plant nutrients for organic and conventional growers in Mexico. Algacell will market Agrinos’ proprietary High Yield Technology (HYT®) as branded products that can be blended with fertility products. The products will be targeted at the high-value fruit and vegetable markets.

“Agrinos products complement our nutrition line by supplying soil microbiology and allowing the crops to have better nutrient assimilation and water absorption, especially in organic operations,” said Algacell director Ing. David Rodríguez López. “Most importantly, this alliance enables us to offer an integrated crop solution to growers across Mexico.”

Algacell works with all crops, specializing in high-value crops such as peppers, tomatoes, watermelons and berries. As a result of this strategic partnership, Algacell adds three Agrinos-branded products to its portfolio—MayaMagic 2001, BioAmin and BioQuitina—and provides valuable nutrient solutions to farmers throughout Mexico.

“Since signing a distribution agreement with Algacell earlier this year, Agrinos has significantly increased sales and market penetration in Mexico,” said Julio Lozano, regional sales manager for southern U.S. and Mexico. “The partnership with Algacell provides an outstanding opportunity to serve Mexico’s growers, improve access to technical support and deliver High Yield Technology all in one stop.”

Growers using Agrinos products have experienced improved crop health and yield. Through its scientific formulation and proprietary co-fermentation process, Agrinos has created a platform of products with a robust consortium of microbes and/or complex blends of critical nutrients. When applied, this formulation of commensal and beneficial microbes can create an environment favorable for plant growth in both ideal and harsh conditions.
