In a bid to advance its self-propelled sprayer range, John Deere has announced the purchase of Italian manufacturer Mazzotti.

The Ravenna based firm is known for its range of self-propelled machines, along with providing skid units for other manufacturers, such as Vicon’s iXdrive.
According to the press release on John Deere’s website, Mazzotti will maintain its name, trademark and commercial agreements, meaning it will continue to serve customers with its products and services.
John Deere’s president of agricultural solutions and chief information officer, John May says: “The acquisition of Mazzotti provides John Deere an opportunity to serve more customers in European markets.”
