Brazil’s Mapa suspends 37 fungicides used to treat Asian rust
Use and sales of 37 fungicides have been suspended for the control of Asian rust (Phakopsora pachychilid) in soybean crops in Brazil.
 
The decision was based on conclusions of the Technical Commission of the Agronomic Reevaluation of Formulated Products of Agrochemicals and Related Registered and was published on Thursday, June 14 in the Official Union Gazette.

The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply (Mapa) announced that the holders of the registration will have a deadline of 120 days from the date of publication in the Official Union Gazette to exclude the recommendation packages for use in the control of Asian rust in soybeans.
