Yongnong BioSciences releases Haoduoshu to seize ¥2-billion Chinese pyraclostrobin market

ChinaAccording to China Pesticide Registration Watch, up to the dispatch of this report, there have been 53 registrations of pyraclostrobin technical and 194 registrations of formulations while 1,316 applications for field trials are under way. In the next two to three years, more enterprises are forecast to move into the pyraclostrobin market.
According to estimates by experts, the Chinese market value of pyraclostrobin formulations was approximately ¥700 million in 2015, which reached ¥1 billion in 2016. In the next three to five years, the market value is expected to reach ¥2 billion. An open source information shows that the nation-wide pyraclostrobin production capacity in 2017 is more than 18,000 tons.
The industry players currently active in the market are mostly large manufacturers. Yongnong entered the pyraclostrobin technical production much earlier, having obtained registration of the technical material. Yongnong has also applied for registrations of SC, EC and mixture (difenoconazole. Pyraclostrobin 45% SC). In face of such an intensely competitive market, Yongnong has had the courage to release its pyraclostrobin Haoduoshu.
According to Yongnong’s business planning, following the Haoduoshu, the Yebiqing (pyraclostrobin 25% EC) will be launched by the end of 2017. Meanwhile, its difenoconazole. pyraclostrobin 45% SC is being registered.
To prolong the occurrence of resistance to pyraclostrobin due to a required increase of registered papers, Yongnong has worked out a number of so-called “Haoduoshu + B” options, meaning the use of Haoduoshu plus B (other single agents). Single pesticide products that could be mixed mainly include metiram, zineb, dimethomorph, benzyl, tebuconazole, fluxapyroxad, propineb, dithianon, thiophanate-methyl, thifluzamide, cymoxanil, boscalid, propiconazol, biguanides, epoxiconazole, hexaconazole, cuppric nonyl phenolsulfonate, ethirimol, carboxin, thiamethoxam, tebuconazole, flusilazole, captan, prochloraz and oligosaccharins.
Yongnong’s Haoduoshu is a high quality product targeting different market needs and positioned to serve common crops such as wheat, corn, peanut, soybean, banana and melons, which are competitively priced to ensure they do more business while at the same time being cost effective.
