On the May 10, a list of 2016’s Top 100 Chinese pesticide sales companies was unveiled, wherein Sichuan Fuhua Tongda Bio-chemical Technology Ltd. was ranked at No.3, with sales of 3.664 billion yuan. 


“It is our perseverant goal to make trusted pesticides, sell assured pesticides and serve global agriculture,” said Li Jianyou, the company’s China regional sales manager in a press interview. Fuhua Tongda is committed to research, production and sales of glyphosate and glufosinate. Over the past years, Fuhua Tongda has overcome various difficulties and managed to achieve steady sales growth. 
 
Production value in 2016 reached over10 billion yuan, with products being sold to 127 countries and regions, with an export value of nearly $400 million. In 2016, the total production volume of the glyphosate technical of Fuhua Tongda reached 120,000 tons. The sales of glyphosate solution to the Chinese domestic market also exceeded 15,000 tons. In April 2017, phase 1 of the 3,000-ton glufosinate project of Fuhua Tongda was brought to production, having begun a stable supply to market.
 
Li Jianyou said that in view of the two years’ hard times of the real economy, this was a hard-won result, but attributable to the joint efforts and contributions from all staff of the company, while on the other hand, the company had endeavored to make investment in environmental measures, which ensured the sustainable development of the company. 
 
Fuhua Tongda spent 490 million yuan in achieving a fruitful result for pollution control and technical upgrade, such as the mother liquid from glyphosate production being reutilized for the production of disodium phosphate dodecahydrate and tripolyphosphate. This technique is in a leading position among the industry, which not only reduces waste discharge, but also brings about earnings for the company towards the cycled economy.
 
Speaking of market orientation of the company, Li Jianyou said the products of Fuhua Tongda had always been export oriented. However, in order to bring good products to more Chinese farmers, Fuhua Tongda has started exploring the Chinese domestic market in recent years via the “product + service” mode, using the capacity advantages of glyphosate and glufosinate. As a beginning, the quality single agent and formulations of the company have been supplied to Chinese farmers via proper channels accompanied with a secured service.
