AgroPages-Agriphar extends its presence in Southern Europe-Agricultural news

As of February 2010, the Agriphar Group strengthens its position around the Mediterranean. After twenty years of close cooperation, Agriphar and Geopharm signed an agreement that will lead to a full acquisition of the Greek company. Geopharm, based near Athens is a leading distributor of agro-chemicals in Greece. Established in 1954, the company has a repacking - formulation facility and warehouses with offices all over Greece. Amongst the 42 employees there are 17 agronomists focussing on quality and customer service. Both parties expect the closing to be done by end of March. Present management, headed by Mr. A. Kalliontzis, MD remains in place and will be supported by internal group services. Once more, this new mile stone fits with Agriphars strategic plan to focus on growth potentials world wide.
