On March 19, the Boarder Way Project was launched in Jianhu, Jiangsu Province, jointly by Kesheng Group, DuPont China and Jiangsu Hanweisite Eco-Agriculture Ltd. At the launching ceremony, Kesheng Group gave a presentation to the regional distributors on the contents and the application method of the Boarder Way Project.

The Boarder Way Project contains Kesheng’s pymetrozine 25% SC (trade name Shenyue), benzyl.azoxystrobin 32.5% WG (trade name Yousheng), benzyl.propiconazole 50% EW (trade name Meixie), epoxiconazole 40% SC (trade name Teenshi) and DuPont’s chlorantraniliprole 20% SC (trade name Kangkuan).

The above product mix forms a package for use via two applications: One is in the late tillering stage and the other one is before the earing stage.

Shenyue – A national invention and patented product, used for the prevention and control of rice plant hopper, it has to be applied in the fast hatching period and the low-instar nympha growing period.

Yousheng –Broad spectrum fungicide, used for the prevention and control of sheath blight, rice blast and false smut, it is effective against pest disease, as well as for enhancing crop’s stress resistance and stimulating rice yield (tricyclazole or isoprothiolane to be used together for control of rice blast).

Meixie - Broad spectrum fungicide, used for the prevention and control of sheath blight, false smut and rice kernel smut, it has to be applied in the late tillering stage and before the earing stage.

Teenshi – Used for the prevention and control of false smut, it facilitates rice photosynthesis to enhance yield and quality.

Coragen – Effective for the prevention and control of rice leaf folder and rice stem borer, it has to be applied from the fast hatching period up to the low-instar nympha growing period.

According to the forecast of the National Agro-Tech Extension and Service Center (NATESC), rice pest is expected to occur quite heavily in 2017 with an occurrence area of 1.39 billion Mu. Jiangsu Province is encompassed in the Huang-Huai single-cropping japonica rice planting region, where pest diseases are rampant including rice blast, sheath blight, false smut, rice black-streaked dwarf virus, rice stem borer, plant hopper and rice leaf folder. Possibilities of heavier occurrence of stripe virus disease and ear rot are also foreseen.

The Boarder Way Project launched this time by Kesheng in cooperation with DuPont and Hanweisite serves as another total solution for prevention and control of rice pest in Jiangsu Province.
