Microcapsule herbicides becoming popular in China

Pesticide microcapsules overcome the weakness of decomposition in light, and can also apparently prolong the validity of product. As the coating is made using organic substances or vegetable oil, also as water is used as solvent, there is no contamination in the soil.
Microcapsules are mainly used for controlling soil insects, fruit tree cotton aphids and afforestation services. As per China Pesticide Registration Watch, there have been 119 registered insecticide CS products, ingredients of which mostly include high chloride and Dursban, as against soil insects.
Therefore, a microcapsule formulation is a very environment-friendly formulation versus other formulations.

So far there are 21 registered herbicide CS products, ingredients of which mostly include pendimethalin, acetochlor, clomazone, MCPA-isooctyl, S-metolachlor, alachlor, butachlor and tri-allate, which are outlined as below:
