AgroPages-Canada grants herbicide simazine in special review-Agricultural news

The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has approved the continued registration of the herbicide simazine.

Simazine is a broad-spectrum triazine herbicide. It is currently registered for a wide variety of uses (for example, fruits, corn, shelter belts, woody ornamentals and nursery stock, woodlots). It is applied by ground equipment. In Canada, simazine underwent re-evaluation in 2010.
