The FMC has launched its new herbicide variety, Daoqingqing, in Jiangsu province, China. The new product was launched on January 17, 2017.

Daoqingqing is a product of Metamifop+Cyhalofop-butyl 10% EC. It is a comprehensive, high-efficient and one-time applied herbicide for control of grassy weed, being an ACCase inhibitor herbicide effective for control of barnyard grass, crab grass and moleplant seed. It is the only patented product in China for control of rice field grassy weed.

Of the active ingredients of Daoqingqing, metamifop is also a patented product of FMC. Metamifop and cyhalofop-butyl are both phenoxypropionate systemic herbicides, which are ACCase inhibitor herbicides, capable of inhibiting compounding of vegetable fatty acid. Daoqingqing adopts a distinctive environment-friendly solvent developed in Korea to ensure its satisfactory performance in rice field. Daoqingqing functions through extension, retention, penetration, distribution and conduction.

Daoqingqing was registered in China in 2016, to be released across China in 2017. Daoqingqing will provide Chinese farmers with a “triple saving experience” (labor saving, time saving and cost saving) while being safe for rice and post-harvest crops. FMC is fully confident of the market prospect of Daoqingqing and will initiate product launching activities. It expects sales of 100 million yuan in the Chinese market in 2017.
