Rotam CropScience, the international multi-million pound agro-chemical company with a rapidly growing presence in the EU, has opened its new European HQ in Peterborough and strengthened its team with two new appointments.

James Anderdon, who has a wide range of experience in agro-chemical product/market development and research across Europe, Africa and the Middle East, is Rotam Europe’s new Technical Services and Development Manager, while Ian Campbell has been appointed Finance Manager, Europe.

Mr Anderdon, who has held analyst and senior technical positions at Cropnosis Ltd, Syngenta, Zeneca and ICI, will play a leading role in assisting farmers with Rotam CropScience’s range of new products, offering greater cost- efficiency, improved yields and better resistance management options.

Mr Campbell joins Rotam CropScience with 25 years experience as a Chartered Management Accountant in manufacturing and distribution, having managed the finances of private companies through to multinationals as part of an international career that has seen him working in France, Spain and the USA.

Rotam CropScience is now currently busy developing a range of new herbicides and fungicides from off-patent chemistry for winter/ spring crops across Europe. The Hong Kong-Canadian company has already invested more than 20 million Euros in European product registrations.

Welcoming the new members of his team, Rotam CropScience’s North Europe Manager Graham Dickinson said: "This is an exciting time for Rotam in Europe as we continue to develop new products to provide cost-effective solutions to growers. I am confident James and Ian will help ensure that we continue to offer the best possible services to all our customers."
