China’s herbicide production rises in June

Herbicide and insecticide production both increased in June, with herbicide increasing by 10.18% to 157,878 tons and accounting for 47.16% of the total production. Insecticide production rose slightly by 0.8% to 40,282 tons, contributing 12.03% of the total. Only fungicide production dropped 6.7% to 15,666 tons, comprising 4.68% of the total production.
From Jan to June, the country produced a total of 1,884,174 tons of pesticide, increasing 4.32% on a y-o-y basis. Herbicide production in this period went up 6.52% to 938,460 tons. Fungicide production increased 6.7% to 99,801 tons, while insecticide production dipped 8% to 228,860 tons in the period.
