From 9th – 11th March, the 3-day 17thInternational Agrochemical & Crop Protection Exhibition was held in Shanghai, as participated by 1,175 exhibitors from across 20 countries or regions and some 30,000 buyers from home and abroad. As a novel fertilizer exhibitor, Qingdao Seawin Biotech Group presented its most representational SEAWINNER product series.

Qingdao Seawin Biotech Group specializes in development and utilization of marine biological resources, including associated research, production and marketing activities. The company is an industry leader in seaweed fertilizer development and production, featured with its dominant seaweed fertilizer brand – SEAWINNER 818. The product is safe, natural and pollution- free, which contains rich organic matter and slow-release factor, capable of improving soil ecology effectively.

Based upon its product, Qingdao Seawin Biotech put forward the concept of “whole-course crop nutrient and soil remediation”, meaning that every step of crop growth is covered with the use of seaweed fertilizer. So far as soil remediation is concerned, long-term use of seaweed fertilizer improves soil very effectively.

Liang Yunbo, vice president of the company gave an introduction to the green algae polysaccharides, which is newly launched by the company. The product is unique to the company, originated from the outbreak of the algae enteromorpha in the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea region in 2008, where the active ingredient is extracted using biotechnical means. The green algae polysaccharides additive so developed can be used as additive in urea, compound fertilizer and water-soluble fertilizer. The fertilizers with such additive significantly increase the utilization ratio and efficiency of fertilizer by its good leveraging capability.

Shan Junwei, the board chairman of the company emphasized the high efficiency and the cost effectiveness properties of the product, saying that it is a reliable and trustworthy novel fertilizer.

At present, there is a good opportunity of development of novel fertilizers, which is also of great significance to China’s fertilizer and pesticide use reduction objective. It is believed that the development of novel fertilizer will become more and more promising.
