By 2016, UPL’s fungicide product Penncozeb had serviced Chinese farmers for 20 years and during these years Penncozeb has emerged as the most recognized and trusted mancozeb brand product by Chinese farmers, due to its superior quality which results in excellent efficacy against various diseases in variety of crops. It is the GOLD standard as far as manczoeb is concerned in China.
UPL decided to reward the loyal customers (farmers) who actually have become brand managers and partners of Pencozeb over last 20 years and announced the “Most Loyal Penncozeb Farmers” - a farmer engagement scheme in China. As per this, company will collect loyal Penncozeb farmers with harvest and planting stories and recognize their contribution to UPL and making Penncozeb as number one brand in China in mancozeb in last 20 years. At the same time, the company will acknowledge and reward the loyal farmers.
UPL launched this scheme in Guilin, Guangxi of China on 29th March 2016, as part of this campaign, a forum called “Penncozeb Class” will be organized across China to collect farmers’ expectation of Penncozeb in next 10 years, which would drive UPL to improve itself and present the famers with better solutions for a good harvest. In this class all the stakeholders will be invited like traders, regulatory associations, scientific communities but the main focus will be the customer king - farmers.
