DuPont Brazil has announced an important change in its leadership. Priscila Vansetti, previously the global director of Strategic Planning for DuPont's Crop Protection, will be the new president of the Brazilian subsidiary effective October 1, succeeding Ricardo Vellutini, who will retire after 36 years of career at DuPont.

In this new role, Priscila has the mission to maintain the growth in Brazil, a strategic market for the company at the global level. Today, the country accounts for 50% of the sales in Latin America and lies among the top five revenues of DuPont in the world. “Our growth strategy is focused on the areas of agriculture & nutrition, industrial bio-sciences and advanced materials, markets in which Brazil presents big opportunities,” she comments.

Priscila will also be the vice-president of the Crop Protection division for Latin America, a role also done by her predecessor. 

Priscila Vansetti is a Brazilian, graduated at the Superior Agricultural School Luiz de Queiroz of the University of São Paulo and specialized in executive management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She started her career at DuPont Brasil in 1981 at the agricultural division, took leadership in the areas of Regulation, Government Relations and Research & Development. In 1996, she transferred to Wilmington (Delaware, U.S.), where she had different roles in the areas of development and marketing. In 2008, Priscila was promoted to director of the DuPont Canada, being relocated to Mississauga (Ontario). Since September of 2014, she has been the Global Director of Strategic Planning of the Crop Protection division.

Ricardo Vellutini joined DuPont Brasil in 1979 as an engineer in the area of Sales of Fluor Chemicals. In 1993, he was transferred to the Agricultural Products division, occupying leadership positions in Brazil, France and the United States. In 2004, he was named the presidenct of DuPont Brasil and, four years later, the vice-presidenct of DuPont Crop Protection for Latin America.
