AkzoNobel SC Agro expands market reach in Great China

Agro market segment expands reach in Asia

In the past three months, the Agro team has been hard at work to grow their market share in Asia. As part of their efforts, they participated in a series of technical seminars in Taiwan, Shijiazhuang and Shandong to expose Surface Chemistry’s technology to potential market opportunities.

One seminar focused on innovative agro solutions to drive future growth. Twenty customers from all over the country attended it.

“As a result of our participation, we received positive feedback, sample requests and projects initiatives.  An R&D Manager at one of the top pesticide manufacturers in Taiwan was pleased with AkzoNobel’s technical capabilities and plans to collaborate with AkzoNobel on new formulations for future growth," explained Tom Zhang, Technical Sales Manager for Agro in China.

“Almost 100 customers joined the seminar in Shijiazhuang which is a significant step to defend dispersant market share, expand business development and market reach in North China. Our sales and technical experts shared precious knowledge and experience to customers openly,” Tom continued.  

Zhijun Liu, manager of conference committee, said, “AkzoNobel is the most innovative and responsible supplier in Chinese market, and their technical solutions helped many customers to grow in past two decades; I trust the professional speech and open discussion with customers will create a win-win result for AkzoNobel, customers and the seminar committee.”

These three events are the first step to expand our business reach in Greater China. The Agro team is focusing on developing volume and market share by working with top glyphosate customers, delivering solutions for customer issues, gaining new customers from competitors to further diversify our selling portfolio.
