Brazilian company Microbiol Comércio e Inúdstria announced a growth of over 30% in 2014 boosted by its top product: Microgeo. The product is based on a biological fertilizer present on over 2.4 million hectares in the main agricultural centers of Brazil.

Microgeo is a balanced component that feeds micro-organisms of bovine rumen contents at Continuous Liquid Composting (CLC®). The produced biological fertilizer would help promote soil recovery, optimizing other agricultural inputs and production factors.

"Today, there is a need for a soil restructuring in general. With a biological fertilizer, we can re-establish gains for Brazilian agriculture in general, either organic or conventional," affirms Leandro Suppia, commercial director at Microbiol.

The compacted soil throughout the years makes plants have difficulties to obtain rooting impeding that nutrients get to leaves and to all the plants. As a result, in several regions of the country, farmers have seen less productive efficiency on perennial and annual crops.

The balance of biodiversity observed at the native soil has faded year by year, being that one of the main factors of the structured soil. The soils suffer each time more with compression symptoms, erosion and low response to chemical fertilizers that affect the most the pockets of producers.

The product is estimated to grow another 30% in 2015, even in the time of economic crisis because farmers understand that MICROGEO is a compound that helps provide improved productivity in the field. Says the company.
