Canada proposes renewal of two herbicides

The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has approved the continued registration of DuPont's herbicide, Upbeet (triflusulfuron-methyl). The public comments have been opened until June 22, 2015.

Triflusulfuron-methyl is a post-emergence herbicide that is used to control certain broadleaf weeds and grasses. There are three triflusulfuron-methyl products that are currently registered in Canada, including one technical grade active ingredient, one Commercial Class end-use product and a manufacturing concentrate.
