BASF Canada and Monsanto are once again working together to deliver multiple modes of action on tough to control and potential resistant weeds in Western Canada for the 2015 season.
The two companies are recommending that growers tank-mix Roundup Transorb
® HC herbicide with Heat
® LQ, or Distinct
® herbicide for improved control of tough weeds like Kochia, dandelion and volunteer canola. Growers who purchase Heat
® LQ or Distinct
® will be eligible for a $0.50 per acre discount on Roundup Transorb HC.
"Concerns about weed resistance are increasing for growers in Western Canada," said Danielle Eastman, Brand Manager of Western Herbicides at BASF Canada. "Using herbicides with multiple modes of action is critical to delaying resistance and will help maximize yield potential."
The offer helps growers treat tough to control weeds at pre-seed, pre-harvest, post-harvest and in chemfallow applications.
"Glyphosate continues to be a valuable tool for Western Canadian growers and tank-mixing is an important management practice that helps preserve herbicide technologies for the future," said Jennifer Ewan, Crop Protection Marketing Manager, at Monsanto Canada.
