Ronaldo Pereira
Regional Head (Brazil)
Rotam has appointed Ronaldo Pereira as its new Regional Head of Brazil, while his predecessor, Antonio Carlos Damaceno, well known as one of Rotam’s pioneers who set up Rotam Brazil, Argentina and Chile, has been appointed as Corporate Vice President for the Agricultural Solutions and Excellence Center; a global initiative in R&D for agronomic solutions.

Ronaldo graduated in Agricultural Engineering from the State University of Londrina (UEL) and Marketing from the University of Northern Paraná (UNOPAR) in Brazil. He then pursued his career in the agricultural industry and gained over 20 years’ experience in national and international agricultural market from large corporations such as FMC. Ronaldo therefore has significant marketing experience and a range of expertise in different functions and in different jurisdictions such as the USA, Brazil, Mexico, etc. Ronaldo will be responsible for leading Rotam’s business and operations in Brazil. His experience in management and strategic vision will contribute significantly to the continuous growth of the company.

Jean Michel Duhamel
Chief Commercial Officer
Rotam’s CCO, Jean-Michel DuhameI states that, “Ronaldo has extensive knowledge of Brazilian market and customers. I am confident that his broad exposure to the international agrochemical market and genuine interest in people would help Rotam to expand the market coverage and product portfolio in the region.”

Rotam Brazil is currently a leader in the supply of crop protection products such as Bazuka® - Metomil (insecticide) and Odin SC® - Tebuconazole (fungicide) and also offers a wide portfolio in corn, soybeans and sugar cane. In addition, Rotam has a wide-range of products with superior quality and significant market share such as Tebuzim®, Mirza®, Bamako® and Saddler®.

To become even closer to the farmers and maintain goodwill in the market during the past years, Rotam has set up an experimental station in Artur Nogueira in São Paulo’s countryside. This station is part of Rotam’s global experimental network with the purpose of dedicating research & development to crop protection products.  This will enable field trials to be conducted with new formulations in order to determine efficacy and crop safety as well as to explore new agronomic solutions. Rotam Brazil offers strong technical support for the farming practices and training to farmers.

The company also has a logistics center in Indaiatuba, with strategic geographical localization, near the Santos’ port and access to the main Brazilian highways.  This creates a transport network to ensure efficiency and flexibility on delivery.

Ronaldo comments that, “The agility on new product registrations, corporate headquarter support, quality and strong logistic supply chain ranging from raw material to finished products, enables a fast growth of the Brazilian market. We intend to explore more key crop segments and launch more new products in order to expand our market share and develop more innovative solutions”.
