Certis Europe acquires insecticides Eradicoat and Eradicoat T from Bio-D

Certis Europe has reached an agreement with UK-based detergent and soft chemical company Bio-D to acquire the outstanding global, formulation rights together with all other associated technology and Know-How for the maltodextrin-based physical insecticide products Eradicoat and Eradicoat T.

Certis and Bio-D have enjoyed a long-standing relationship during which Certis has developed and registered Eradicoat in a number of countries where it is used to control whitefly and red spider mite in high value specialty crops.

Certis Europe’s Head of Portfolio Jennifer Lewis commented; ‘ Eradicoat is an important product within our soft technology portfolio.  This acquisition allows Certis to further invest in development and registration of Eradicoat and to extend its use to include key markets in southern Europe and Africa, while continuing to work to expand uses and crops in UK, Benelux and Scandinavia’.
