Shenyang Research Institute gains award for pyraoxystrobin

Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry (SYRICI) recently gained technological innovation award for fungicide pyraoxystrobin from China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF). SYRICI is a subsidiary of Sinochem.
Having 4-in-1 effect, indicated by activity of fungicidal, antiviral, insecticidal and plant growth regulating, pyraoxystrobin can significantly increase crops yields and farmers’ income. SYRICI has received innovation patents for pyraoxystrobin in China, US and Japan. And since this product has synergistic effect with other fungicides, the institute also gained 10 combination patents.
Pyraoxystrobin received provisional pesticide registration from Chinese Ministry of Agriculture in 2009, and between 2011-2013 it was promoted in fields with 120,000 ha of crops and realized increased income of yuan 2.7-5.4 billion.
