Sales break down in Q2 2014

Net sales of fungicides in the second quarter were yen 2,169 million (an increase of yen 318 million or up 17.2% year on year). This was primarily due to steady shipments of Daconil products (technical and formulation) and an improvement in the export business on the back of a weaker yen.

Insecticides net sales were yen 958 million (an increase of yen 443 million or up 86.2% year on year). This was mainly thanks to strong sales at our consolidated subsidiary Ramcides in India.

Net sales of paddy herbicides were yen 1,715 million (an increase of yen 586 million or up 52.0% year on year). This was mainly by the virtue of favorable shipments of Benzobicyclon products (technical and formulation) and various products of paddy herbicide technical including Dymron technical and Cafenstrole technical.

Net sales for the Greenery-related products were yen 1,350 million (an increase of yen 403 million or up 42.6% year on year). This was mainly by virtue of strong sales at our consolidated subsidiary Ramcides in India.

Net sales for others were yen 444 million (an increase of yen 295 million or up 197.3% year on year). This was mainly attributable to strong sales of functional fertilizers in India at our consolidated subsidiary Ramcides.
