Bayer CropScience launched fungicide Nativo® (trifloxystrobin and tebuconazole) in Brazil to control Colletotrichum acutatum, one of the major citrus diseases.

As the beginning of rain season, the month of August and September is the time for citrus to bloom, during which Colletotrichum Acutatum is the major threat to citrus. If not treat in a preventive way, the pest attacks the flowers and provokes an early fall of the fruits. "The disease can provoke up to 95% of production loss, so we highlight the importance of the use of Nativo® during the productive process of citrus. Besides, the fungicide has an approval of maximum limit of residue to export the orange juice, granted by the North American market", said the Citrus Crops manager Ricardo Baldassari.

The company highlighted yet other solutions for the crop in all development stages, such as acaricide Envidor®, insecticides Winner®, Provado® and Turbo®, and fungicide Flint®.
