Bayer CropScience introduces biofungicide Serenade® in Brazilqrcode

Bayer CropScience recently introduced the biofungicide Serenade® in Brazil. "It brings more vigorous plants and with better response of growth, becoming more resistant to diseases and resulting in a product with more quality." the company notes.

"Serenade® acts as a farmer ally on controlling diseases and management of resistances to fungicides (rotation of biological and chemicals). The adequate management of diseases can compromise the productivity of plants and the final quality of the produced goods", clarifies Fábio Maia, Strategic Marketing Director of Fruits and Vegetables at Bayer CropScience.

The launch occurred during the Technical Exposition of Horticulture, Crop Protection and Intensive crops (Hortitec), which tool place from May 28 to May 30 in Holambra, state of São Paulo,Brazil. The fair is claimed to be the biggest of the sector in Latin America.

According to Maia, the event is strategic for the company, "because it is possible to interact with farmers, showing the differentials of our portfolio in the sector of horticulture, once we offer high quality products for very demanding customers".

The focus of the Crop Protection unit on the 21st edition of Hortitec lies on its program of integrated management PINBa - Integrated Protection Bayer, which supports farmers with product and specialized technical assistance services. According to Bayer's manager, it is the best way to avoid losses and anticipate solutions. "That is what PINBa does, it offers preventive technical guidance to the farmer, so he can obtain the wished productivity and the quality required by the market".

Fruits and Vegetables seeds

For the seeds segment, Bayer CropScience announced the national launch of the hybrid tomato Totalle. "It has high productivity and earnings with big fruits, uniformed colors, and great firmness, ideal for long distance transports", said Fabrício Benatti, general manager of Bayer CropScience Vegetable Seeds in Brazil.

Summer carrots such as Cristiana and Tatiana were also exposed, introducing smoother textures, optimal quality of root leaves - essential for the vegetable development - with intense color, sweeter taste than the existing products in the market and developed exclusively for the hot weather, with planting from December to March.

Endurance "Porta-Enxerto" of Tomato. "This is an innovative technology on tomato crops on open fields that we introducing in Brazil and presenting with exclusivity at Hortiec", adds Benatti. "The solution promotes more vigor to the plant, a package of resistances against the main diseases, among them Fusarium 1, 2 and 3 and Ralstonia solanacearum.
