Kleffmann Group launches amis® AgriGlobe® database
Feb. 28, 2014
The new product will provide comprehensive global market data along with a new intuitive online software tool delivering multi-country statistically robust farmer based data from over 70 countries; many of them emerging markets.
It is the only global market data reference that provides a link between that proprietary Kleffmann data and research from local consultants, industry analysis and public domain sources. "Significantly, however, more than 50% of the data are currently dependent upon the Kleffmann Group's amis® farmer based input panels. The availability of that research and historical reference data from previous years allow direct comparisons of different markets over a specific period of time and help to understand the full picture as well as the detail", explains Burkhard Kleffmann, CEO Kleffmann Group.
A new team to further develop the concept
A new team comprising agricultural experts and marketing research professionals has been especially established to further develop this new division. The introduction of amis® AgriGlobe® will initially be supported by Dr. Mirza Nomman Ahmed and Dr. Christina Handschuch.
Alongside providing clients with consulting services, business intelligence and market information, a further key focus of their activities will be to develop new software modules to facilitate intuitive and sophisticated analysis that integrate the team's wide agricultural insights.
Future modules and new features in development
For the current year Burkhard Kleffmann announces further investments: "In the first half of the year, we will continue strengthening the team and expand our portfolio. amis® AgriGlobe® will be step-by-step extended by further innovative modules that enable clients to explore market trends and gain industry-wide insights. By using the new software module, data can be analysed and visualised according to the individual needs of decision makers from different management levels. The new product not only provides objective market overviews at a global, regional and local level; it can also be considered as a Business Intelligence tool to create individual complex data analysis for strategic planning processes", says Kleffmann.
The first Global Market dataset will be available in April 2014. This review will include both Seed and Crop Protection inputs for the year 2013 as well as historical reference data from previous years. The completed amis® AgriGlobe® database will be made accessible via Kleffmann Group's new software platform "Kleffmann4you" early in the summer.
