AgroPages-Canada initiates special reviews on 23 ais-Agricultural news

The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has initiated special reviews on 23 pesticide active ingredients under the regulation of OECD member states. The PMRA has the obligation to conduct such a review if all uses of an active ingredient are prohibited.

During the special reviews, once the evidences available demonstrating one or more of the registered products containing the ais endangers human health or the environment, the PMRA may cancel or amend the pest control product’s registration.
