ISEM sells herbicide orthosulfamuron to Nihon Nohyaku

Orthosulfamuron is a systemic herbicide belonging to the family of sulfonylureas and controls paddy rice weeds, such as broadleaves and sedges. Besides rice, Orthosulfamuron has been recently registered on sugarcane in Brazil as ripener.
The sale of Orthosulfamuron is consistent with the revision of the business strategy pursued by Chemtura and Isagro respectively, in order to refocus their resources towards projects carrying greater strategic value for them, with the aim of optimizing their portfolios.
Further terms of the agreements were not disclosed.
