Cheminova to introduce Equation™ azoxystrobin fungicide

Cheminova recently announced plans to introduce an azoxystrobin fungicide for use on row and specialty crops, upon securing EPA registration, anticipated for the 2014 season. The fungicide would be marketed and sold under the trade name EQUATION™ Fungicide. Azoxystrobin has been manufactured and sold by Cheminova elsewhere in the world since 2011.

“Adding a strobilurin to our burgeoning fungicide portfolio would give growers more tools for crop protection throughout the growing cycle,” said Deneen Sebastian, Marketing Director, Cheminova, Inc. “EQUATION is designed to control numerous economically important diseases on labeled crops and in using it, growers would be able to equalize the odds against an outbreak.”

EQUATION would join TOPGUARD® Fungicide, launched in 2010, and FORTIX™ Fungicide, launched earlier in 2013, among Cheminova’s premier disease control product offerings for its customers.
