Bayer CropScience announces organizational and personnel changes at the Excecutive Committee

Dr. Rüdiger Scheitza, currently Head of Strategy & Business Management (SBM) and Labor Director at Bayer CropScience, will retire end of May 2013 after 31 years of dedicated service for the crop protection and seeds business of Bayer.
"Over more than three decades, Dr. Scheitza has made a significant contribution to the protection of crops and to securing harvests worldwide. He has been instrumental for the success of our company and we thank him for his great commitment," said Liam Condon, Bayer CropScience CEO.
In this context the current function SBM will be split into two separate units ‘Strategy’ and ‘Business Management’. The unit Strategy will be headed by Dr. Mathias Kremer, currently Head of Seeds at Bayer CropScience. The unit Business Management will be headed by Gavin Marchant, currently Bayer CropScience Country Head Japan. In their new functions, Dr. Kremer and Marchant will become members of the Executive Committee of Bayer CropScience.
Achim Noack, Executive Committee member and Head of Product Supply, will take over the responsibility as Labor Director in addition to his current duties. Frank Terhorst, currently responsible for Fruits & Vegetables and Insecticides, will succeed Kremer as Head of Seeds.
The changes will take effect as of June 1, 2013.
