EU withdraws the DDAC approval

After verifying the comments submitted by notifier, the European Commission has decided to withdraw approvals of didecyldimethyl ammonium chloride (DDAC) which is used as fungicide. It was approved for use as wood preservatives under the EU biocidal products Directive 98/8/EC previously.
Member States shall ensure that authorisations for plant protection product didecyldimethylammonium chloride are withdrawn by 20 June 2013 and grant grace period of up to one year to use of existing stocks.
